At Pentecost, we celebrate that God wants to inspire us. Through his Spirit, God creates understanding between languages, cultures and seemingly irreconcilable positions. In our communion, too, there are various issues that harbour potential for conflict. Fifty years ago, in the Leuenberg Agreement, we managed not to allow ourselves to be divided despite our different positions and this remains an important task for us as we carry the gospel of reconciliation into the world.
